What's Up @ KCF

By way of a personal story from this last week, we have had a fantastic time in Vancouver with Jonathan Conrathe and his team from Mission 24 and have seen God doing some amazing things. We saw many people healed physically and many people experience the love of Jesus for the first time, giving their lives to him on the streets and in our meetings, what a joy!

The word ‘Gospel’ simply means GOOD NEWS!  This gospel is wrapped up in the fact that Jesus is here now!  When Jesus started his ministry on earth he proclaimed the gospel of God… saying… “the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand..”  The good news is that the long wait is over, the one who saves is here!  This is ‘NOW’ time!

The incredible thing is that he is here now in his people by his Spirit and is still doing works to save and heal and set free. The time is now and the call is to REPENT (a word that means to make a 180, we were going one way, now we turn and go the other way) and BELIEVE in this good news about Jesus.

The gospel is summed up in 1 Corinthians 15 where Paul says, “...Christ died for our sins…, …he was buried, … he was raised on the third day… and …he appeared…”  He appeared to many and is still showing his power today.

It’s not based on our track record… or anything good that we have done…

He comes and meets you where you are and offers you a brand new start, a life of following him.

He has made this all possible through the coming of the Holy Spirit who works the life of Jesus in us and the ministry and power of Jesus through us. This Sunday we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the life of Jesus in us, he is the one who makes “Christ in you the hope of glory” possible!

Love to all,

Andrew
