Your Life Is Impacting Others
Your life is impacting others. Really? You say, I don’t think so? Well, unless you are living under a rock, never go shopping, or playing video games all day, you are impacting someone. Your influence on others lives will be positive or negative, but neutrality is not an option. Why not embrace the attitude that your life will be a blessing to everyone you meet. Jesus said, “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” This is often referenced with money, but it is much more than that. It is the giving of ourselves to others in a selfless manner. Are you willing to put your life at risk and give a potential covid person a ride to the testing station. Will you shop for the person who is unable to access the grocery store, and run the risk of buying the wrong thing? Are you willing to be kind to others, when they are not kind to you?
Making an impact in peoples lives is not about being the smartest guy on the team, or having an answer for every problem. I heard once that people will quickly forget what we said, but they will remember how we made them feel. For some of us we are “too helpful” but not “caring enough”. When we genuinely care for people, it will have the most impact in a person’s life. This doesn’t require a specific skill, loads of money, or an educational degree. If we could simply follow the simple adage of the Apostle Paul when he wrote to the Corinthians, “Do everything in love.” (1 Corinthians 16:14) Just four words. The most impactful life we can live, is simply to “do everything in love.”
This Sunday, Pastor Alex will be continuing in the sermon series Impact from the Book of Acts. He will be going on the theme of The Impact of Leadership in our Lives. You don’t want to miss this.
Sunday Celebration
We are meeting personally at the church Sundays at 10:30am. The delta variant has become prevalent in the region including Nelson and the mandate from the Provincial Government is that if you are in a building to wear a mask, so we are asking everyone to wear them until this subsides. Moving forward until further notice Masks are Mandatory again as well as physical distancing and sanitizing remains. We are so glad that we are gathering again, your presence is so important. The usual online options (Facebook and KCF.Online.Church) will also be available.
Baptism
We are excited to have two baptisms on September 5th at Lakeside park. Baptism is an important step in our growth as disciples of Jesus. A changed life will be your experience as you submit to the Holy Spirit in your dedication to God.
If you have not been immersed as a believer, this would be a good time to talk to Pastor Jim or Pastor Alex and find out more about this.
