What's Up @ KCF

Peace is much talked about, but hard to achieve. On an international political stage, it is the stated goal of everyone. Yet conflicts rage on. On a personal level, peace does not fare much better. We seek it, long for it, go to great lengths to achieve it, only to often give up and live in a perpetual state of anxiety, anger, and chaos. John Lennon sang and recorded in a hotel room in Montreal “Give Peace A Chance” in 1969. It has become an anthem ever since. I too would like to add my voice to those before and those who are saying it today, GIVE PEACE A CHANCE. To know peace, to give it a chance is not a political solution, nor is it an economic one, but a spiritual one. As we begin to turn our hearts towards Christmas, we celebrate and look to the Prince of Peace, who is called the Christ. To give peace a chance, might mean to give Jesus, the prince of peace a chance. Evidence clearly shows, politics is not the answer, neither is money, or fame, but Jesus can turn conflict into harmony, chaos in tranquility, and anxiety into peace. Isaiah 9:6

This Sunday, our first Sunday of Advent, I will be sharing on JESUS, our Peace. Bring a friend, invite a family member to join you, and be a representative of Christ as his ambassador of peace - Pastor Jim Reimer.
