Kingdom of God is an expression used in the gospels. To us, in a democratic and individualistic society that has a low tolerance for the monarchy, this term may be difficult for us to understand. Sometimes we can miss the value and the message of Christ simply because we don’t understand the terms. This Sunday, I want to start a Kingdom of God series. For example, I will be sharing what it means when we pray “thy Kingdom come” and what it means to be citizens of the Kingdom of God. We may think it is church life, but actually it is much more than that. My sermon topic will be “taking Jesus out of the church” suggesting; the Kingdom of God is meant to be experienced in every day life - Pastor Jim Reimer.
Communion Sunday
This Sunday, we will have communion, so if you are joining us online, be prepared at home with some grape juice and bread as we share in this special time together.
Growth Groups – Here We Go!
Growth Groups are underway and run to March 1st. There is a bit of room in the ladies and zoom groups if you still wish to take part.
These groups offer a time to connect personally with one another, study the previous Sunday’s sermon in depth, share in a time of prayer together and have a time to be social with over dessert. We hope to find you in a growth group soon. Contact the church office at office@kcfoffice.com or call 250-352-1722.
Celebration of Life – Liam (Leigh) Brousson
As you may know, Liam is now enjoying heaven. There will be a celebration of his life this coming Saturday, Jan 14th, 2pm @KCF. You are invited to come share this time together as we remember and celebrate Liam’s life.
If you would like to provide some goodies (finger foods) or help in any other way such as set up, clean up or hosting, please contact the church office.
Rides to Church
We have people offering rides to and from church on Sunday.
If you want to come to church but need a ride, call or email Anne-Marie at the office and we will try and link you up with a ride. Also, if you can offer someone a ride, please let us know.
Tithes and Offerings
Those who are wanting to support our Church with offerings (during this time, it is very much appreciated) it can be done by etransfer to office@kcfoffice.com, through our website via PayPal, or by calling in to the office with a credit card or mailing in your cheque. Thank you for continuing giving to the church with your tithes and generous offerings.
