God Sees You
Have you ever felt invisible? What I mean is that people are talking as if you aren’t even in the room. Or you are ignored, and your opinions fall flat. Have you felt dismissed, even before you were welcomed? You have ideas, but no one is listening? You care, but no one is asking for your help? You are in the room, but no one notices? This is a horrible reality that many experience. How we deal with it is often less than healthy. I was one of those “people” until one day, God saw me. Actually, God always had his eye on me. One day I realized it. He called me just like he did for the woman in Luke 13 who had been afflicted by a spirit for eighteen long years. Jesus saw her. Jesus delivered her. This is what happens in the Kingdom of God. Jesus sees us and then he opens our eyes to see the reality of the Kingdom of God around us. And we are set free. Suddenly we matter. Come this Sunday and ask God to call you by name, to see you and to open your eyes so you too can see the Kingdom of God around you. The sermon title is “God Sees You”. Wow. What a promise - Pastor Jim Reimer.
