Someone To Follow
There seems to be more women at prayer meetings than men. The church is made up of more humans of the female variety than the male version. Male volunteers are often like crickets, you can hear them but can’t see them participating. Why are men often missing in action? It might be because we have feminized the church. Men need to act like men. This is not to mean we celebrate burping, bragging, or bullying; characteristics sometimes presented as manly. To act like a man is one who is emotionally mature, spiritually vibrant, and one who can be counted on in times of stress and trouble. (They may engage in flatulating at times as well) These are men that young people want to look up to. This Sunday, I will be talking about being a person someone wants to follow. We need natural and spiritual fathers to lead, pray, and fight for the spiritual truths of the Kingdom of God. Join us for this Father’s Day. We will honor and give a small token gift to each father as a symbol of our appreciation - Pastor Jim Reimer.
