Examining the Heart
A half truth is the worst kind of lie. It deceives us. We think we are correct and going in the right direction, only to experience disastrous consequences and stinky fruit. Jesus told us not to believe everything, but to examine the fruit. You can tell what kind of person one is by examining one’s heart. And that will be the theme of our last message of the Heart Matters series called, Examining the Heart. Jesus actually gave us hints of what our interior life is like by examining the heart and watching what is coming out of the mouth and the lifestyle we are living. He did not say this to condemn but to warn us. To experience the kingdom of God and its fruit, (peace, prosperity, and presence of God) we need to examine the heart and make sure our hearts are pure and in tune with God.
Join us this Sunday for a full presentation of Examining the Heart - Pastor Jim Reimer.
