Activate God’s Blessings

There is a promise that God has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing thatcan be realized when in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3) So why don’t we experience them? I suggest the reason is because we don’t believe. Paul lists eleven awesome blessings in Chapter 1:4-11 and then we see him praying that they might realize or experience these blessings. This is what he prayed. “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” (Ephesians 1:18-19)

Notice the phrase “for us who believe”. God has already blessed us; but, his hope, his glorious inheritance, and his incomparable great power can remain untouched, distant, a fading dream, unless we activate his blessings by coming into agreement with God. This is belief. When we believe what God says is true, heaven responds, grace is effectual, and hope carries us through every challenge and gives us victory. This Sunday, I will be talking about Activating God’s Blessings. Join us and have your faith renewed as we worship and explore God’s word together - Pastor Jim Reimer.
