Prayer, The Best Option

Prayer, The Best Option

Where does prayer sit in your “to do” list? Is it an afterthought? You know, when all else fails, pray! As humans we are prone to self-sufficiency, independence, with a strong value for our own autonomy. Prayer, or being dependent upon another, (especially a deity we can’t see) is completely foreign to our natural and autonomous nature. Yet God calls out to us – involve me in your life, seek me, as I know more than you, and allow me to do miracles through you.

Prayer is more than a formula, a ritual, or a religious exercise. It is the inner person residing in us connecting with the living God in the universe. This is amazing. We can connect with the Creator (through the person of Jesus) who loves us, has our best interest at heart, and is all powerful. That is the thought the Apostle Paul begins with in his letter to the Ephesians. Read about it in Chapter One. This Sunday, I will be continuing my series on Ephesians. I will be expanding on the idea of making prayer our first option, and not our last. Join us and invite a friend - Pastor Jim Reimer.

Communion Sunday

This Sunday, we will have communion, so if you are joining us online, be prepared at home with some grape juice and bread as we share in this special time together.
