It has been a while since I have been on this page. Doreen and I enjoyed a great time of rest and relaxation. I will be in my office next week and then we are off to Alberta to visit family and attend a family reunion. Thank you for allowing us the time away. Despite being away most of July, the church is doing well. This is a testament to the strong commitment from our staff and “you” our church family to Jesus Christ and His purpose for his body as represented by us, KCF. The church is not one person, but a family of believers, doing life together. Here, we learn to love one another, work together, and make a difference in the world around us.
Because we are “together” sometimes conflict happens. It is inevitable. God even allows it. He allows it for our growth and good. Because in the times of conflict we have opportunity evaluate our own thoughts and motives, during conflict we can experience the grace of forgiveness and acceptance, and through conflict we can see “God at work” in our own lives and in the lives of others. While this may not, and usually isn’t, pleasant; if we will embrace one another, love one another, and accept each other, we will experience the huge blessing of being in the family of God and a part of the Body of Christ. As the Psalmist says, “Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Selah” (Psalm 84:4) And again,
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)
This Sunday, Tim Henry will be sharing the message with us. Doreen and I will be with you enjoying the fellowship, preaching and worship.
See you Sunday.
Communion Sunday
This Sunday, we will have communion, so if you are joining us online, be prepared at home with some grape juice and bread as we share in this special time together.
