What's Up @ KCF

Olympics are done. Congratulations Canada for achieving the most medals at an unboycotted Olympics: 27 in total. This was a surprise to the so-called experts. At the beginning of the games, the pundits were lamenting the possibility of maybe achieving half that number. There was unbelief in the studio, but not in the field. The athletes sacrificed, sweated, suffered, and trained for four years preparing for these games. What kept them going? Belief! They believed they could do it and they delivered. Belief is the core element for any accomplishment. If you don’t believe, you won’t start. And if you do start, but don’t believe, you will give up. Patience, endurance, tenacity, courage, all hinge on this one thing, belief. Now imagine with me, the effectiveness one might have if this belief was anchored in the unchangeable, all powerful, immutable, creative, loving God that promised – ‘we can do all things, if you only believe’. Belief is important, but to believe in the right thing transcends one to the highest place of success.

This Sunday, Carl and Karen Hampsch our camp speakers, will be with us for our morning celebration. Carl’s sermon title is “Do you believe God?” Come and join us for a “faith-lift”. Look forward to seeing you here.

Baptism Sunday Coming up!

We are excited that we will have at least 1 person getting baptized on Sunday, August 25th. This will happen at Lakeside Park immediately following our Sunday service. Let’s meet in front of the Change Room Building (mid-park). Bring a picnic lunch and let’s celebrate together afterwards.

If you are interested in getting baptized or want to know more, please contact Pastor Jim.

This is our time to get to know one another better, share our lives, pray, study the previous Sunday’s sermon and eat dessert together.

We hope you are able to take part. Sign up on Sunday at the Information Table or simply reply to this email of your interest.
