Strength in Weakness: Relying on God’s Power

In Ephesians 6:10, Paul calls us to "be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might," reminding us that true strength doesn’t come from ourselves but from God. This theme runs throughout Scripture, from 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, where Paul boasts in his weakness so that Christ’s power may rest on him, to Exodus, where God delivers His people by His own might. Strength in the kingdom of God is not about self-sufficiency but about humble dependence. Revelation 5 paints a powerful picture—Jesus is announced as the Lion of Judah, yet He appears as a slain Lamb. This paradox challenges our expectations, showing that victory often looks different in God’s economy. Embracing humility and community is key. When we admit our need for God, surrender to His will, and walk alongside fellow believers, we experience the fullness of His strength. In a world that prizes self-reliance, the gospel invites us to something greater—finding true power in the name of Jesus. Please join us this Sunday as we worship the Lord whose strength alone we can rely on. We look forward to seeing you Sunday @10:30am, 520 Falls Street – Robin Ball.
