Recently I have been spending a lot of time in the hospital due to Doreen’s issues with her hip. She has been in the hospital over 60 days. What struck me is the amount of pain in the world. Like a 27-year-old who has an incurable disease that is slowing squeezing life out of her. Or the woman full of life just a month ago, is now dying of cancer. Or a man wandering the halls with not a family member who cares for him. Broken homes, broken lives, and broken hearts are all around us; hidden in plain sight. I say hidden, as we don’t know them because our lives don’t intersect with their lives. Yet they exist. And Jesus knows them. It is for each of them that he rose from the grave, giving us a living hope that suffering can be overcome. Heartache, sickness, injustices, even death; do not have the last and final word. Easter speaks about a victory that can be found in Jesus. He lives; therefore, we can live, despite the pain in our world.
Join us this Sunday at 9:45 for brunch and for Easter celebration as we cheer the victory we have been given in Christ – Pastor Jim Reimer.
The WELL – Wednesdays 7-9pm @ KCF beginning April 2
As we move into transition, it is important to seek God for his guidance, blessing and favour. We are creating this opportunity to gather initially as a large group for some worship, a devotional time and then corporate praying together, then we will break into small groups for personal sharing and study. This gathering is specific for KCF attenders, and the study will be based on the previous Sunday’s message.
