In our passage this week, Jesus gives us this new command, “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35) This call to love comes between two stories of heartbreaking breaking betrayal. In the Upper Room, Jesus reveals to his disciples that Judas, his once friend, will betray him, but no one seems to understand what he is talking about. Peter promises his undying loyalty, but Jesus predicts that Peter, his follower, will disown him three times. Jesus knows what it is to be betrayed, but he walks in forgiveness and love. Full of the love of his Father, he will demonstrate his unconditional love for us, by giving his life, a sacrifice that covers every sin. Jesus calls us to lives of radical love. What would it look like for us to love each other just as Jesus has loved us?

The WELL – Wednesdays 7-9pm @ KCF
As we move into transition, it is important to seek God for his guidance, blessing and favour. We are creating this opportunity to gather initially as a large group for some worship, a devotional time and then corporate praying together, then we will break into small groups for personal sharing and study. This gathering is specific for KCF attenders, and the study will be based on the previous Sunday’s message.
