What's Up @ KCF

Do you want to be part of something MASSIVE?

The scope of what God has in mind for mankind is breathtaking. He sees a people restored and in right relationship with him; he sees the world working in harmony, every part of nature reflecting his beauty, power and precision; he sees people becoming more and more like him, looking like him and acting like him in the world; he sees the expansion of his perfect ways filling the earth, his kingdom, his rule and reign coming to every part of the universe. He sees a kingdom with a king who rules justly, loves extravagantly, cares graciously, saves completely, restores fully - what a king and what a kingdom.

And as we come to the end of this series on God’s BIG story, he invites us into it - to not look from the outside and observe but to give our lives wholeheartedly to the purpose at hand. The aim of our lives is not to get saved so we can go to heaven, the aim of the church is not to get a group of people saved so they can go to eternal rest, but to see people come alive in relationship with Jesus and be a part of bringing heaven to earth. The goal is not salvation… that’s only where the fun begins, we get to be a part of seeing the kingdom of God come on earth. Each and every one of us with unique gifts, giving it all for the king and the kingdom.

He calls us to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness - not to put our desires and purposes before his, but to find our lives totally fulfilled as we live rightly with him. He promises to help us and he works in us and through us as we are connected to his body and have his life giving Spirit flowing through every part. Like a body with every part working well as we are connected to Jesus the head; and like a vine we are the branches and as we stay connected to Jesus the vine we cannot help but bear fruit as we let ourselves be shaped by the Father, the master gardener.

Let’s not waste our lives on our own tiny pursuits, but as we go his way we find ourselves truly fulfilled and part of something MASSIVE!

 Love to all,

Andrew
