Multiply!
The Church in acts multiplied! It didn’t just add numbers it multiplied. What was the source of this kind of growth? Acts 9 says that “walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit it multiplied.”
Firstly, they walked in the fear of the Lord, Not a fear like being afraid… but a deep reverence and awe of God, the awareness that God is here.
And secondly, they walked in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. This word comfort it’s not something soft and nice like a blanket, but means a strengthening, that the Holy Spirit comes alongside and works with us and helps us as we cooperate with him and make room for him, the very power and presence of God.
Recently I have been hearing about many churches in the UK that are experiencing a move of God, and it carries with it in essence a fear of the Lord and partnering with the Holy Spirit; and as evidence and outworking of this, a fresh devotion to prayer. Churches are putting aside empty social gatherings, for times of seeking the face of God. And people who never cared about Jesus before are finding faith in him.
And we know that it is not just in the UK… we’re experiencing that here too - people are praying and there is a growing hunger in this generation for what is real, and people are seeking God and putting their trust and faith in him. These are exciting times. And the church WILL multiply as we give ourselves to walking in the fear of the Lord and the partnership and strengthening of the Holy Spirit…
One of the best ways to walk in the fear of the Lord is a life that is connected to prayer. It’s time to pray and it’s time to make room for the Holy Spirit to work with us like never before. We want the move of the Spirit among us, not just that which is humanly possible, but that which is only possible when God shows up, where we have to rely on him for the breakthrough.
This Sunday, we are looking again at ‘Jesus in action’ and what this kingdom breakout looks like in the life of a community. And the amazing thing is that he is still doing this now! Let’s be part of this kingdom breakout in Nelson and beyond, walking in the fear of the Lord and the comfort and strengthening of the Holy Spirit.
Love to all,

An Important note about Parking at KCF
On Sundays, since the Share store is closed and ODB is not operating, we have more parking spots available than usual such as the staff parking and the SHARE Store parking; however, it is very important that we not park in any spots that are reserved for paying tenants, so if you see a reserved sign, it is imperative those are kept free for the tenants who are paying for those parking spots. Thank you for your consideration.
