Life Changing Encounters

One life changing encounter leads to another. There was a woman called Lydia down by the river who met a man named Paul and had a life changing encounter. Paul, after his own encounter with Jesus went from putting Christians in prison and even to death to being willing to risk his life, so that the truth about Jesus could get out.

Now he is talking to Lydia and it says that “the Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.” (Acts 16:14) As Paul shared the gospel - how Jesus lived and died for us, was buried, but rose again, something happened in Lydia‘s heart. The presence of God opened her heart and she believed in Jesus and was baptized.

When we speak about this risen Jesus, we can expect that the Holy Spirit is at work, opening people’s minds and causing them to believe and have faith in Jesus. This is really encouraging isn’t it! It is God by his Holy Spirit who is with us, that works to open the hearts of the people around us, to sit up and pay attention as we share about Jesus. Some will throw the words away, but others will respond as God works in their hearts and ignites faith.

This Sunday we’re baptizing four young men who have had their own life-changing encounter! God has been at work and opened their hearts to believe in Jesus and to follow him. God is at work in and through our lives. One life changing encounter leads to another!  See you Sunday!

 Love to all,

Andrew

An Important note about Parking at KCF

On Sundays, since the Share store is closed and ODB is not operating, we have more parking spots available than usual such as the staff parking and the SHARE Store parking; however, it is very important that we not park in any spots that are reserved for paying tenants, so if you see a reserved sign, it is imperative those are kept free for the tenants who are paying for those parking spots. Thank you for your consideration.
