The BIG Story…

Do you ever wonder, “Why am I here?” “What is it all about?” “Is God for real?” “How can I be sure?”  Well, you are not alone, these are some of life’s most important questions, and I believe each and every person at some point in their lives wonders about their place in it and the meaning of it all. These questions REALLY matter!

One of the things Rachelle and I have loved about the Alpha course is the opportunity to have conversations with neighbors and friends about life’s BIG questions. Over the years that we have run Alpha, at different times, we have loved having conversations that move past ‘the weather’ or upcoming holidays to talk about things that really matter, even if we disagree. Life’s too short not to think about why we are all here!

This coming Sunday we are starting a new series of messages that look at some of these huge questions and look at the foundations of our faith and finding our place in God’s BIG story. We are going to look at: ‘How it all started out?’  ‘What was the reason that we were created?’ ‘What went wrong?’ And ‘How did God put in place the greatest rescue ever known to man?’ You see, it is not so much about our life and our story and how we can fit God into that, but rather, it is about understanding that God has a BIG story, it is HIS story and we fit into His purpose and not the other way round. So much of our society and culture is so self absorbed, so self focused, but real life and peace and joy come as we realize we were made for Him.

So, I invite you to join us for ‘The BIG Story’, and to grow in faith and understanding that there is a God who loves you, created you, has purpose for you and wants each of us to find our place together in His BIG story. We want to understand this story and grow in how we can give ourselves to play our part in bringing about His ultimate intention. This BIG story is going somewhere, and we want to get on board.

 Love to all,

Andrew
